Colours of Nature

Understanding the world, Caring, Autonomy, Creativity and Communication
Earth, food, rocks, feathers, clay, pigments, charcoal
Colours of Nature offers students the opportunity to explore textures and materials in a very special way, as well as sensorial development, and even for the older learners, explore connections between nature, science, technology, visual art and prehistory.
Students will learn about the colours of history through a series of sensorial group challenges and be invited to create their own paint using tools to obtain natural pigments.
It includes experimenting with different body parts, vegetables, leaves and grass to create brushes and stamps to use to transfer their natural paints to their canvas.
This experience brings together experimentation and sensorial development whilst igniting imaginations and supporting creativity. The natural pigments will be used by every student to paint a canvas of their own to take home at the end of the session.
