Loose (P)arts is a multi-sensory, play-based learning experience that inspires creativity and joyful connections with nature. Students explore and make a creation of their imagination with natural materials and loose parts, discovering textures, characteristics and other interesting qualities of the different materials found in Nature.
We will first awaken our sense of smell through a journey of aromatic herbs which can be added to our clay base to provide smell to our creation, and then discover texture and forms by pressing different elements to create magical patterns, or using them to build a natural sculpture.
We can further explore skills with a Leaf Threading activity - an experience that blends the development of fine motor skills with a close connection to nature.
In addition to providing fun, engaging and sensory nature-based experiences for students, our team will share tips for outdoor learning with teachers to support every teacher’s journey into learning outside the classroom.
